In 2010 in Riverside CA Salynn Simon created Events with a Kick as the ideal vendor for you next event. The idea behind the company was to service an area that had only one certified event coordinator in the area and to build the community. The company strives to be the best and staying on the cutting edge of what is new in the event industry. Events with a Kick is a trusted company to key clients. The events have been featured in many outlets. As we continue to grow we look back on the past and look forward to the future of events.

As a graduate from FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) in 2005 Salynn fell in love with her event marketing class.  After graduation Salynn worked for Alcone Marketing in Irvine CA as their event coordinator.  She traveled the United States executing specialized events with key products.  After working there for three years she decided she wanted something more and wanted to create.  All the logistical knowledge from working events in every corner of the country she decided to open her own business.  Executing several large scaled events for the City and non profit organizations, she finds her passion to be weddings.  “Weddings bring people in the light of the purest joy two people will share together” Salynn says.

Mackenzie joined the Events with the Kick Family in Spring of 2016 as an intern.  She is attending San Diego State College as a Dance Major. She hopes to be a full time planner after graduation.  Mac loves event planning and always has a smile on her face.

When she is not working her butt off she likes to binge watch Netflix and hang out with her beautiful family.  She was born and raised in Riverside California and currently travels back and fourth to San Diego.  She can not wait to meet you at your next event!

Josh’s passion for events led him to join Events with a Kick in Spring of 2015.  He currently works full time for a software company.  He worked with Disney for several years, which gives all sorts of creative juices for planning events.  One day Josh would like to open his very own wedding venue.

Josh is our comedian and always keeps us on our toes and makes us laugh!  He is a “foodie” and loves to help make sure catering is on point for the events.  When Josh is not helping create the next event he is spending time with his husband and two cute little boys on their next adventure.  

Jenna is a recent Graduate from San Diego State University with a major in Liberal Studies and plans on pursuing teaching.  She is full of life and loves to make people smile.  Her constant attention to detail makes Events with the Kick a step ahead.

Jenna loves spending time with her family, going to the next Dodgers game and seeing the latest movie.  She is eager to meet you at your next event.
